Ever feel like the world around you is changing rapidly and you just can’t keep up? Or maybe like the world is repeating the same things over and over, and some people are just starting to see what’s going on?
As young professionals, most of us are used to hearing about how much we’ve altered the workforce. Not only does a lack of inclusive and diverse work environments affect the entire community, but it majorly impacts the bottom-line for businesses and nonprofit organizations alike. Organizations that do not foster inclusive environments and encourage diversity throughout their workforce, experience a loss in productivity, absenteeism, and disengagement. The social and emotional toll it takes on the community also impacts health and safety, education, and even development.
This training is a crash course in understanding what other factors are changing, being recognized, and still yet to come in the moving landscape of our sociopolitical economy and how you can be prepared to move with it! Buckle up, and get ready to step up and step back.

Our Young Nonprofit Professionals Network chapter is over five years old and we want to celebrate what makes us great - you! Exhibit C will close early for our private party and you'll be able to explore the gallery and network with other emerging nonprofit leaders while you enjoy free drinks and appetizers.
Exhibit C is a 4,000 sq. ft. art gallery and retail space located in Bricktown OKC. Proudly owned by the Chickasaw Nation, Exhibit C is used as a means to highlight talented Native American artists who represent their communities throughout Oklahoma. Gallery Manager and artist Tom Farris will be on hand to give us an introduction to the space and current exhibits.

About New Leaders Council:
NLC Oklahoma aims to build a better Oklahoma by fostering a culture in a nonpartisan way that enables rising professionals to connect with one another. During our Institute Fellowship, participants will learn hard skills, such as communications, fundraising, coalition building. After graduation, they will be connected to an ever-growing local network, where they will support each other in their pursuits, and come together to identify and fix social problems that exist in our communities through the public and private sectors.
Oklahoma is one of the newest chapters in the NLC network. With 48 chapters in 25 states from across the nation, NLC’s network of progressive leaders is extensive. After the 2016 NLC Fellows class, NLC’s diverse community boasts more than 5,000 alumni and volunteers training the next generation of progressive leaders and using the skills from the NLC Institute to impact their communities.
Our vision is to become an institution in the state of Oklahoma, which enables rising leaders from the Panhandle to the Arkansas border to connect, discuss their vision to make meaningful impact in their communities, and learn the hard skills to put ideas into action.
Come hear Robyn Tower as she explains the basics every grant writer should know! Grow your knowledge of terminology, best practices, and in general how to grow your nonprofit organization's revenue. This training will be great for anyone just starting out, needing a refresher, or who just wants to gain exposure to the grant writing world!
Tickets are $10 for our members, or $20 for non-members, and will include lunch. To guarantee your seat, please pay for registration online below.
