Between Giving Tuesday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and all the other Holidays coming up this time of year, there is a huge opportunity to connect with donors. Whether your organization has a holiday messaging that you're proud of and want to share, or if you're looking at ideas on how to start messaging around your org's first holiday, or anywhere in between, we'd love to have you as we discuss what's worked, what didn't work, and what might work to help the OKC nonprofit community connect better with its constituents!
Garrett Hondronastas, Communications Coordinator at Infant Crisis Services will be leading this discussion, but it will be very conversational in nature so come ready to discuss or simply listen and gain ideas!
Network and volunteer with members of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Leadership Council (their young professionals board). At 5:30 we will have time to network together and get to know others serving in the non-profit sector. Starting at 6:30 we will then start our service project together as we help to serve the people of Oklahoma.
Please register here http://cerv.is/m?0113rYNPN (or use registration code YNPN on our website: www.regionalfoodbank.org/volunteer to register). Registering will help the food bank staff know what project we can complete as well as speed up the check in process.
EVERYONE MUST WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES.
The importance of nonprofit organizations in our community is only increasing, and so is the necessity of higher education opportunities. This panel will discuss what opportunities there are in central Oklahoma, how this impacts the professional success of potential students, and what it means for our workplaces, both now and in the future.
2017 has been a year full of high highs and low lows. Let's come together and talk about the victories we've had over the last year! Come to brag on yourself or your organization, or to hear the brags and find something that could work for you!
Some things to get your gears going:
~Great fundraising innovations
~New ways of telling your story
~A different way of stewarding your donors
~Anything else you awesome nonprofit peeps have done over the last year!
Jingle and mingle with us as we enjoy the holiday spirit (and spirits!) at our annual holiday party. Members are invited to wear a little Christmas cheer (tacky sweaters, jingle bells, antlers, etc).
Join us to chat about how you maintain a work/life balance! How do you refuel and stay committed to your work and mission?
How do you make time for family, friends and hobbies? Learn how other young professionals maintain balance, share some of your strategies, and learn how to chat about balance with your employer!
Join YNPN of OKC and Charles Gosset as Charles shares with us his tips on Beating the Burnout. We will discuss realistic, relevant, and practical strategies for preventing burnout, increasing mental clarity and emotional resilience, maintaining long term high-level performance, and improving work-life balance.
We all know our jobs can be very rewarding, and also very demanding. Some days we feel like world-changers, some days we feel crushed beneath the weight of our stakeholders' needs. The risk of burning out is very real in the nonprofit sector.
Charles Gosset is a Certified Professional Life and Leadership Coach (CPC) and founder of Full Integration Coaching, where he helps big-hearted people with huge drive lead exceptional lives. Before starting his coaching practice, Charles worked professionally in management, program development, fundraising, mentoring, and education.
