Carrie Sauer loves working to expand opportunities in her hometown. She moved back to Oklahoma City in 2010 after nearly ten years away, during which time she attended Loyola University Chicago for a Bachelor's in Psychology, worked for Illinois Action for Children, and taught English and Business Communications in China. She can (and does) talk at length about all the wonderful changes that have happened in OKC and what a great place it is to live. Carrie completed her Master's degree in Nonprofit Leadership in 2013 and is Director of Annual Giving at Oklahoma City University. She helped to found the Oklahoma City chapter of YNPN and is a member of the OKC Midtown Rotary Club and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is also a Community Investment Volunteer for United Way of Central Oklahoma and a regular volunteer for local arts organizations. She and her husband Jesse are parents to two young kids and a rescue mutt.
Darcee Simon, Vice Chair & National Liaison

Darcee Simon found a sense of home in Oklahoma City when she and her husband arrived from Mississippi in 2015. A lifelong learner and educator, Darcee’s career in education began in a New York City middle school classroom and has led to leadership roles in student services and school administration. She recruited at midwest colleges and universities for Teach for America before transitioning to her current role at the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development as the Assistant Workforce Systems Coordinator. Darcee is currently working towards her Ed.D. in Human Resource and Workforce Development Education at the University of Arkansas. She is also the Volunteer Forewoman for Confidence Con and a Community Investment Volunteer for United Way of Central Oklahoma. Outside of home(work), Darcee is a zealous coffee drinker and an evangelical Thunder fan.
Kristi Birk, Secretary and Chair-Elect

Kristi has resided in Oklahoma for 26 years. She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma in 2011 with a focus in English literature education. She has educated students within public and private school settings and has taught grades kindergarten through 12th grade. As a lifelong learner, Kristi received her master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2016. She has held director and administrative roles in regards to technological integration and curriculum development. Kristi has always found joy in nonprofit work, and she is excited to start her journey within the nonprofit sector. In her free time, Kristi enjoys teaching yoga, barre, and fitness classes. She has over 10 years in fitness and wellness development and education. From playing sports in college and training athletes to working with people who have never experienced a wellness plan, she enjoys helping develop programs for individuals who are looking to better themselves through physical and wellness activity. She is an avid soccer fan and still plays indoor and outdoor. Kristi’s daughter, Birkley, is her shining star and most proud accomplishment.
T Shannon Mckenrick, Finance & Development Manager

T Shannon Mckenrick is excited to join Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Board as Finance and Development Manager. Originally from a small town south of Dallas, Shannon moved to OKC for college. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BS in Entertainment Business. She is continuing her education at her alma mater by pursuing her masters in Nonprofit Leadership. Shannon currently works as an Administrative Assistant at Oklahoma City University School of Law in the Advancement and Career Services Department. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching documentaries, and making quilts for her friends and family. Check out her website to learn more about her experience.

Oklahoma native Rhea Shahan picked up and moved to St. Paul, MN where she attended McNally Smith College of Music receiving a Bachelors in Music Business and Associates in Music Production/Audio Engineering. She managed musicians through her own artist agency from 2009-2016. After moving back to OK in 2013, Rhea began her work in the nonprofit sector at Life.Church and later moved to Feed the Children. Currently, Rhea is the Direct Response Fundraising Manager at Feed the Children where she strives to stay relevant and engaging in donors’ every day lives in order to help feed hungry children. Rhea is a follower of Christ, devoted wife to Drew, and loving mother to her 1-year-old son Owen and 4-year-old wolf-dog Maya. She enjoys board games, watching tv, and spending time with family.
Charlie Ludden, Networking Committee Chair

Charlie Ludden graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in Business Marketing. Charlie has worked for the United Methodist Church in different roles since 2011. Currently he serves as the Associate Director of Young Adult Mission and Service, as well as helps lead Project Transformation Oklahoma. Charlie has enjoyed working in the non-profit sector and finding many ways to give back to his community through various service organizations. Outside of his normal work life Charlie has been involved in community theatre and runs his own photography company.

Nikki is originally from Dallas, and made the journey across the Red River for college and completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Oklahoma State University and then received an M.B.A. from Oklahoma Christian University. She has over five years of marketing and development experience in the non-profit sector. She is an avid volunteer involved in different leadership capacities within Oklahoma City. Nikki is currently employed at the University of Oklahoma and works in development as the Director of Digital Initiatives. She enjoys traveling, yoga, and a good book with a glass of red wine.

Jessica Dietrich is the Government Affairs Director at the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® where she advocates on behalf of almost 11,000 real estate professionals and the diverse clientele they represent. One of her passions is helping to empower grassroots advocates to make their voices heard at every level of government. Jessica holds the REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) designation awarded by the National Association of REALTORS® to recognize exceptional efforts made by REALTOR® association executives. Jessica attended Oklahoma City University for a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. In her personal life, Jessica loves to spend time with her husband, their cat and two corgis, play board games, and do anything that lets her express her creativity.

Carly Johnson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. Carly also just recently received her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Oklahoma. Carly’s love for nonprofits grew out of her first job at United Way of Central Oklahoma where she helped fundraise for both the annual campaign and the Combined Federal Campaign. Carly’s true passion lies in helping children and families be the best they can be and is shown through her past role as Development Director at White Fields Boys Home and her most current role as Development & Events Manager at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County. In her free time, Carly enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband, Ethan, and her German Shepard, Axel.

Drew McKinney is originally from Texas but moved to Oklahoma to pursue a football scholarship and a music career in Southeast Oklahoma State University. Drew has over 4 years of restaurant management experience and recently joined New York Life Insurance in Oklahoma City as a Financial Representative. Drew has a heart for helping nonprofits he is a committee leader for the American Cancer Society, grief facilitator for Calm Waters and serves on the board for Oklahoma City Young Professionals. Drew leads worship and has a wife, Kristin and dog named Millie. Outside of work he enjoys going to concerts, playing flag football and Djing events.
