Here's what some of our past and current board members have to say about their experience:
"Almost anything positive that has happened to me in the last few years, both personally and professionally, can be traced back to YNPN of OKC or someone I met through this organization." - Emily Reed, Vice Chair/National Liaison
“The experience I have gained as a YNPN of OKC board member has been a great compliment to what I do in my day job. It's allowed me to develop skills that are relevant to my career goals while helping support others who are starting out in the social sector. I'm proud to detail my board service on my resume. Through YNPN, I have also made lifelong friends!" - Carrie Sauer, Chair
"I love serving on the board of directors for YNPN of OKC because it has given me so many opportunities to practice skills that I wouldn't have used otherwise, in a non-threatening environment. I feel encouraged to make the position my own, and not afraid to make mistakes. It's refreshing to work with a group of humans that care so much about others and our community." - Nicole Sukenis, former Professional Development Chair
“I have developed so many new skills in my position on the YNPN Board that I will carry with me throughout my career. It has been wonderful to explore, experience and practice these skills in a safe space and work with people who encourage me to keep learning." - Jenny Banner, former Finance Manager
